The principles that have served as the foundation of the public life of President and Mrs. Bush form the philosophical basis of the exhibit design and educational emphasis of the George W. Bush Presidential Museum. The Museum will make use of advanced technology to engage the visitor in a meaningful, educational experience. While telling the story of the Bush Presidency, the mission of the Museum is to bring to life the enduring American ideals of freedom, opportunity, responsibility and compassion so that visitors, young and old, will be inspired to recommit themselves to pursuing those same ideals. Case Studies The thematic design of the Museum will feature case studies of challenging decisions faced by the President and his administration. The presentation will include the circumstances and information available and the core principles that guided each decision. The case studies will be displayed so that visitors can consider each situation and gain perspective on decision making in the White House. Life in the White House The Museum will also house an exact replica of the Oval Office, complete with a southeastern exposure, and a Texas Rose Garden situated and designed to evoke its famous Washington counterpart. This section of the Museum will invite visitors to experience the unique world of "Life in the White House," America's home. Leading to the Future Museum visits will conclude with an exhibit of the ongoing work of the George W. Bush Institute and the activities of President and Mrs. Bush. |
