The architecture firm of Robert A.M. Stern and Associates and the landscape architecture firm of Michael Van Valkenburgh and Associates have been selected to design the George W. Bush Presidential Center. The design of the Bush Presidential Center will include space for the archives, permanent and temporary museum exhibit space, classrooms, NARA offices, social function space, a cafe, and a museum store. The George W. Bush Policy Institute will house up to 25 Senior and Visiting Fellows and will also include conference facilities, a media studio, and offices for the Institute and the George W. Bush Foundation. Groundbreaking on the facility is anticipated for late 2010. The dedication and opening of the facility is scheduled for 2013. |
